SAUSAGE DISH

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS
- 1 Wholemeal bread with sunflower seeds
- 3 pieces of sausage, finely chopped into cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 finely chopped medium onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- ½ teaspoon dry sage or mint
- 500 ml chicken broth
- 200 g grated yellow cheese
- salt and ground black pepper

PREPARATION

In a saucepan over high heat, fry the sausages, finely chopped onions and garlic, and finally add the sage or mint. Season with salt and pepper. Cut the sliced bread into cubes. Bake the bread cubes on a grill pan until crispy. Put the bread cubes in a deep baking dish, add evenly the mixture of sausages. Finally, pour over the chicken broth. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 40-45 minutes. Before the end, add the grated yellow cheese and bake for another 5 minutes or until the yellow cheese is melted.
